It’s time once more for the Annual Suffolk County Marathon! Suffolk AME is a proud sponsor of the Suffolk County Marathon, which raises money to benefit veterans and to date, the marathon has raised over $1,000,000 for local veterans’ services. This year’s 10th Annual Catholic Health Suffolk County Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K, will be held on Sunday, October 20th, and the 5K will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2024.
Suffolk AME will be sponsoring 50 Suffolk AME Members to run in this year’s races as part of Team AME! View the Flyer.

Runners on Sunday will start their race in the charming Village of Babylon and conclude in picturesque Gardiner County Park, nestled in West Islip. Participants in the Half and Full Marathon will be treated to a breathtaking journey through one of Long Island's most scenic courses, complete with the exhilarating run over the Robert Moses Causeway. Saturday’s runners will enjoy a course that showcases the beauty and views of Gardiner County Park.
The Freedom Fest Expo: Head over to Gardiner County Park on Sunday, October 20, 2024, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM and join thousands of spectators and runners at the Freedom Fest Expo before and after the Marathon. The Expo will feature live music, craft vendors, food, beer and wine, and fun for all ages!

Each year through our various events and partnerships, Suffolk AME members can lend aid to the local veteran community through volunteerism.
